TOP 5 Young NBA Stars Right Now (Age 25 & Under)

There are a lot of great young stars in the NBA. The NBA is getting a lot of Young Talent coming in bunches. Some are John Wall (Washington Wizards-PG), Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors-PG),  Paul George (Indiana Pacers-SG/SF), and Kevin Love (Minnesota Timberwolves-PF). These players are very great players and I would choose them on my team any day bu there is so much great young talent in today's NBA that even these nice players will have to miss the list.

5. James Harden (Houston Rockets-SG)(Age: 23)
James Harden was once living in the shadows of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook while on the Oklahoma City Thunder. In OKC, he was able to win the Sixth Man of the Year Award and helped the Thunder see a NBA Finals appearance. In his first season as a Houston Rocket, he blossomed and managed to average 26pts, 5rebs, and 6asts. He will only continue to get even better.

4. Kyrie Irving (Cleveland Cavaliers-PG)(Age:21)
Kyrie has the complete package that you want in a Point Guard and he is only 21 years old. He can dribble, shoot, penetrating the basket, pass, make his teammates better...everything. He won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2011. In his 2nd season which was last season, he made his 1st All-Star Appearance. He is a great player who dominates his opposition every game. Another important thing about Kyrie is that he is Clutch(Video Above). He may be the #1 Point Guard in the league in 3 or 4 years.

3. Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder-PG)(Age:24)

Highly criticized Russell Westbrook is probably the most explosive scorers in the NBA. He is criticized for his shot selections, for not passing the ball and bonehead plays, but when you need him the most, he is there. You have to take the good with the bad with him. Westbrook has 3 All-Star Appearances(2011-2013) and 3 All-NBA 2nd Team Selections(2011-2013). Last season, he averaged 23pts, 5rebs, and 7asts. He is a pure scorers with an unstoppable pull up jump shot from the mid range. He has explosiveness that maybe only he and Derrick Rose has. He is a match up problem for about every PG in the league.

2. Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls-PG)(Age:25)

Derrick Rose is flat out dominant. He is a matchup problem for anybody in the league. He is a great passer, slasher, explosive player, and dribbler. He is a decent shooter and can throw any dunk known to man. He was the 2009 Rookie of the Year, 3x All Star(2010-2012), All-NBA 1st Team in 2011, and won the league MVP in 2011. Coming off of a ACL tear 2 seasons ago, he will try to prove that he is just as elite  this upcoming season.

1. Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder-SF)(Age:25)

There is no argument who is the best of all of the Young Stars. Kevin Durant is currently the 2nd best player in the entire league behind, of course, Lebron James. Kevin Durant is a pure shooter at 6'10" with the handles of a guard. KD has proven that he can score with ease. He has won the scoring title 3 of the last 4 NBA seasons. He was 2008 Rookie of the Year. He has a Gold medal and he led Team USA to a FIBA World Championship in 2010. He won FIBA World Championship MVP. He is a 4x All-NBA First Team, 4x All Star, and won All Star Game MVP in 2012. Last Season, he averaged 28pts, 8rebs, and 5asts. He will only continue to get better and that's crazy. He is #1 on this list and his resume speaks for itself.
