Top Five Favorite Movies Of 2012

                                                          #5 The Avengers (2012)
There is nothing like a watching a movie with your favorite super heroes in it. The iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, Thor, Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Hawkeye, and Black Widow team up to defeat the evil. One thing is it is not easy getting these stubborn characters to work together. Only the enemy who is putting the world in global danger could reunite these strengths. This Sci-fi and adventurous action movies splits up the scenes showing what each character is about if you do not know anything about them. It informed me a little bit more about Hawkeye and who Black Widow was. The excitement of seeing the power of each character being used together was awesome. A good ol’ super-natural butt kicking with a piece of justice at the end is the typical topic of the movie and usually the best part.  Growing up as a kid all I watched was super hero movies and not one day did I imagine them coming together. All of this was like a dream come true.

#4 Ted (2012)
Everything from the music to the script was expected in this movie. Especially since it was made by the makers of TV show “Family Guy,” which is one of my favorite shows. That has to be the reason why I fell in love with this movie.  Who knew that a grown up could be so attached to a Teddy Bear. Ted represents almost every kid childhood who had a bond with their stuff animal. It is so funny how literally John and Ted bond is never broken. As the years go by Ted takes the personality of an old weed head that just lives life to the fullest. Ted goes from the typical child stuffed animal to an asshole best friend that you just cannot leave alone.  He is hilarious throughout the movie. Being the person that always leads John down the wrong path. I like the way Ted is seen as a human. His words of choice is what really gets me. I can see why the movie is Rated R, but I love it. The scene where John and Ted are fighting for a long period of time reminds me of Chicken and Peter from Family Guy.

#3 Temptation: The Confessions of a Marriage Counselor (2013)
Temptation was one of the best romantic movie in 2012. I had to choose this from another year because it was just speechless at the end. Tyler Perry using a flashback to tell the story was a great way of introducing the setting and plot. As the story is being told you are able to get lost in it forgetting it is being told by a marriage counselor. The unhappiness of the married couple Judith (Junree Smollett-Bell) and Brice (Lance Gross) transitioned well into a tragedy. Another story linked into another with Melinda (Brandy Norwood) hiding from her ex-boyfriend which happens to be the one Judith is having an affair with. The hole digs deeper and deeper as Judith falls more and more in love. I love the way they make her look strong at the beginning of the story because she already knows what his intentions. She still ends up falling in his trap because of “Temptation.” The movie could not define the word more than a romantic drama that concludes in a happy ending on one side and a lesson learned in the other.

#2 The Hunger Games (2012)

If you have not seen Hunger Games you must go see it. A movie with adventure of a young woman (Katniss) who volunteers to tribute for her younger sister. Her bravery is shown from the beginning and continues throughout. She becomes skilled right along with a young man named Peeta. Katiness is very independent uses that characteristic strongly. Going into competition they are looking for sponsors which presents the bit of romance in the movie to keep the competition going. Each character is introduced by their own skill defining them to connect the audience with at least one person. The battle intensifies in the beginning and becomes very emotional towards the end as Katniss and Peeta fight for their lives and district 12. Katiness personality is brought out in the battle and rages as she is fighting to win. A conflict happens as Katniss is by herself fighting a crew until Peeta switches to her side. Flipping the conflict Everything Is depended on those two to stick together. Each death is announced by a cannon signifying the battle becoming closer and closer to the end.

#1 Django Unchained (2012)
Quentin Taratino was a genius when he directed Django Unchained. This has to be number one on my list. Django was one of the most diverse movie in genre I have ever seen. It consisted of action, romance, and comedy. Set in the south Jamie fox starred as a slave who had brutal history with his slave owner which links him up with Dr. Schultz the bounty hunter. Fox journeys to rescue his wife who he lost in a slave trade which he succeeds in.  I love the way Jamie Fox character was a strong and skilled black man that outsmarted a lot of whites. Many people did not expect Fox to be so blunt. Samuel L Jackson aced the role as an Uncle Tom. His role was so realistic it made me mad how good he performed it. The comedy of Django mixed with a racial tone was unique for those who did not get offended. The visual content in this movie was on point. This movie conveyed also western style to it with the guns being used with ease and open dirt roads. Django watching the explosion at the end was icing on the cake symbolizing his revenge.
